SESSION NR.6 Dance & MIGRATION

How do we feel as foreign artists in Germany? Can we succeed despite or indeed as a result of our different origin? What kind of forms of racism do we face in our artistic field on the professional and bureaucratic level and how do they affect our creativity? As artists living in Germany since 2015, what changes in society have we experienced?

On the 10th anniversary of Ceren Oran’s creative career in Munich, the 6th “Moving Borders Session” aims to open up the topic of migration and changes in the last decade in German society and its effects on different artistic disciplines. Four panelists and a moderator give us insights into their own personal pathways connected with perceptions of social change.

Guests: Ibrahim Bajo , Sandra Chatterjee, Nihan Devecioglu & Ceren Oran

The discussion will be moderated by
Tuncay Acar.
