Tei & Len

Dance for Young Audiences  Collaboration with Junges Schauspielhaus Hamburg, 2021

Who am I? Who are you? What is a limit? How and where are borders? In my head? In my heart? Or in space? Where do I stop? Where do you start? What do we share and how do we share?

The dance theatre performance "Tei & Len" explores these questions poetically and humorously in choreographic images. We experience very different relationships between two beings who are constantly changing and changing their roles. In the playful stage space between playground and gallery, before our eyes they will go from quarrelling siblings to best friends, from two strangers to allies. They open up a cosmos of different dance images between quarrels and togetherness.

Ceren Oran is an international dancer and choreographer, who has been developing dance theater works for young audiences since 2010, which are shown on tours and at festivals worldwide. With “Tei & Len”, the Junges SchauSpielHaus Hamburg is developing a play for children from the age of 3 for the first time.

"(...) Basically, "Tei & Len" tells a very unspectacular story of attraction and repulsion, of the longing for community and the desire to retreat - but with how much charm and humor Oran illustrates this story, that makes the Three quarters of an hour something special. (...)""Abendblatt"
