Und Nochmal!

Dance for Young Audiences, For Landestheater Tübingen, 2024
It all starts with the question: How do I do that? With insatiable curiosity, we learn about the world. An inner drive moves us to try things out, test things, explore boundaries. We try to walk, talk, interact with the world. But rarely do we succeed on the first try. We fall down. So we get up again and try again! By trying and what we cannot do, we find out what we can do. Trying means being brave enough to start and allowing ourselves to fail along the way. With the certainty that we are allowed to fail, we give ourselves the security that we can succeed. Every failure is a new experience, every mistake another discovery. Failure challenges us, lets us be creative and grow. But how do we practice the courage to fail and how do we deal with disappointment when something doesn't work out?
For the youngest viewers, choreographer Ceren Oran, together with the Young LTT ensemble, is developing a poetic movement piece about failure or 10,000 ways that didn't work. With joy of playing and a thirst for discovery, they explore the risk of trying things out and dare to challenge themselves and dream dreams. Ceren Oran works internationally as a dancer and choreographer and has been developing dance theatre performances for young audiences since 2010. Her works are performed worldwide and invited to numerous festivals.
